SCENE SETTING
EXT. PENNSYLVANIA — AFTERNOON
A skateboard hits concrete. Someone has a camera. Someone else is about to make a poor decision. Can’t K*ll Yourself by Living Proof collects previously unpublished photographs from the making of CKY, before the rest of the world caught up.

The camera is already rolling.
Can’t K*ll Yourself is a photography book from Living Proof documenting the early days of CKY, the Pennsylvania crew of skateboarders and artists centered around Bam Margera.
The photographs return to the making of the original CKY videos: skating, fights, property destruction, injuries, and an unusually committed approach to bad ideas. The material predates Jackass, tracing the period when CKY was developing the reckless style of entertainment that would later become part of the television series’ foundation.
Joe Frantz’s documentation of the crew sits at the center of the project. Living Proof assembled previously unpublished photographs from this period into Can’t K*ll Yourself, preserving CKY at its formative stage rather than looking back once everything became famous.
No helmets appear in the historical record provided.
