The Polar Skate Co. 93 Pants in Silver Black take their proportions from ’90s skate denim: loose through the leg, relaxed in attitude, and substantial enough to feel like proper trousers rather than an approximation of them.

The 435 gsm cotton denim gives the fabric real weight. The Silver Black wash takes some severity out of the colour, leaving a faded charcoal tone that looks suitably lived-in from the beginning. The cut is semi-baggy with a straight leg, giving plenty of room without drifting into enormous territory.

Details remain restrained. Embroidery sits on the change pocket, a woven Polar label marks the waist, and YKK hardware handles the practical business. They are made in Poland. This seems like sufficient information for a pair of jeans.
